For my project, The Past, my goal was to use colors to create feeling of nostalgia and feelings of time not moving, almost frozen. Colors can work like memories, carrying certain emotions and feelings. For this orange tint I used on my photos, I wanted to bring out feelings of childhood, moments that you look back on and remember. I worked with familiar faces and people who I have spent a lot of time around throughout high school, and have many memories with them, so the idea of freezing time and trying to relive those great memories appeals to me. The photos follow a similar path of encapsulating a moment from high school, signifying the past that we experienced. I wanted to play with the use of bringing out emotions through color, creating images that I will look back on with feelings of happiness and nostalgia.
