I’m in love with capturing mother nature’s best creation; the ocean. As a photographer, I have developed a strong relationship with photographing Seascape. This genre of photography is my favorite because I have been blessed with living near the beautiful Pacific Ocean.
Typically, my beach art ranges from photographs of waves, surfers, marine life, people, and sunsets. I enjoy photographing images that capture the essence of the beach and yet the simplicity that goes along with it. However, for this project - Ocean’s Emerge - I decided to further explore the concept of Seascape photography. This project takes a deeper dive into the ocean’s beauty by collaging different images together to incorporate creativity and showcase the ocean’s charm. I photographed long exposure images that create an artistic effect in which they can be viewed as a painting. Then, I shot at different times of the day, mostly at sunset to encapsulate the vibrant pink, orange, blue, and yellow colors that make the images pop. I hope to inspire others that the ocean’s beauty doesn’t solely lie within one image but many together.
