Morgan McGlothan is a Black female filmmaker and model, born in Inglewood, CA raised in the suburbs of Culver City, CA. Her film works largely explore the theme of interpersonal relationships, primarily how they show up in her life amongst friends, family and with herself. She is also drawn to the potentially narrow separation between narrative and documentary filmmaking, always looking to play with the thin boundary between real life and the movie screen. Morgan draws inspiration from many other directors who have an eye for exploring Black life in America like Charles Burnett, Billy Woodberry, Kathleen Collins and Issa Ray.
